Randy came all the way from Illinois to be a part of the Cosmic Cooks. He now lives in Flower Mound with his wife, two sons and two daughters. He wasn't born in Texas, but he got here as fast as he could.
Steve, a Cosmic Cooks founder, died of colon cancer on March 30, 2010. He was 50 years old. He left behind him the legacy of being a good husband and father for his two sons and a zest for all things related to the competition BBQ circuit. He is missed and we often reflect upon the good times we had with him on the cook off circuit and elsewhere. Steve's wife, Sue, now lives in Valley Ranch and still has the Cosmic spirit.
Dave, originally from Waco Texas, traveled the world only to find that there is no barbeque like Texas barbeque. He adds to the flair of the Cosmic Cooks with his great recipes and his signature tie-dye shirts. Dave now lives in Carrollton with his wife and two daughters.
Suzan is the teams cobbler cook. Known as "Sweet Sue" to her teammates, her award winning desserts are legendary and provide team members the needed sugar rush to get through the final turn in.
Kelly is our designated bean chef. While the boys are busy cooking their delicious ribs, chicken and brisket, Kelly blends her special combination of herbs and spices to create a tasty side dish.
